The family of 19 year old Courtney Cowen who was killed in a car accident on the A710 near New Abbey, Dumfries and Galloway on Thursday the 7th of July have issued a message to the public thanking them for their kindness during this very sad time.
Those killed in the road crash are named as 25 year old Lee Pickthall and 19 year old Courtney Cowan.
Courtney’s family has issued the following statement:
“We are devastated by the loss of our beautiful Courtney. She was a popular, lively young woman with a bright future ahead of her. Everyone loved her and our lives will never be the same again as we try to come to terms with her loss.
“We are overwhelmed by the messages of concern and condolences we have received at this sad time and we would like to thank everyone who has been in touch.”
Police are still wanting witnesses with any information about the incident to contact them on 101.
