THIEVES GET AWAY WITH GAME MACHINE CASH FROM DUMFRIES PUB

A four figure sum of cash has been stolen when the gaming machines were targeted in a break-in to Greens public house in St Michaels Street in Dumfries.  The break-in happened sometime between 0030 hours and 0920 hours on Friday 22 July 2016.

Detective Constable Gary Story at Dumfries said “the gaming machines seem to have been the target for the thieves in this break-in and they have damaged them in getting to the cash.  We want to hear from anyone who may have been about the St Michaels Street area on the early hours of Friday morning to get in touch with us here at Dumfries if they saw or heard anything suspicious.  Callers can pass information to us on the 101 number, or, if they wish to remain anonymous then through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
