Three Foreign Student Volunteers Assaulted In Dumfries

POLICE in Dumfries are appealing for help in identifying two youths who got into an argument with three Duke of Edinburgh Award students (who had been in town assisting with the Youth Beatz event at the weekend) in Millgreen, Dumfries about 11pm on Monday 2 July 2018.

As a result of the argument, all three foreign students were assaulted by the males who then made off from the Millgreen area.

The main instigator is described as being 5’7” tall, skinny build, wearing an orange T shirt, possibly sleeveless, and black denim shorts/jeans and drinking from a bottle of beer.

The second male is described as 5’6″, medium build, wearing a black hat and sunglasses and aged about 15. He tried to calm the first male assailant down.

This incident reflects badly on the town and Police are keen to identify those responsible and bring them to justice.

If you saw the incident, or recognise the two male assailants, please contact 101 and quote incident reference PDG0145190718.
