£15,000 Worth Of Tools Stolen From A Stranraer Electricians

Police Officers in Stranraer are seeking the help of the community in a high value tools theft investigation.  Sometime around 2315 hours on Thursday 18 January 2018 a van and trailer were stolen from a builders yard in the Blackparks Industrial Estate, Stranraer. The van was in the livery of Alister Scobie, Electrician.  The van was used to remove an Ifor Williams power tip trailer, which was loaded with tools from the yard.  The tools included laser levels and stands, Bosch drills, a Stihl saw, a Paslode nail gun, two large Hilti breakers and various other tools.  The value of the theft is in the region of £15,000. The van was later abandoned in the Industrial Estate, however the trailer and the tools remain outstanding.

Constable Elinor Sneddon at Stranraer said “We re currently carrying out door to door enquiries and reviewing CCTV images in the area.  We do want to hear from anyone who may have seen this van, which is a silver coloured Fiat Scudo van and which is marked up Alistair Scobie, Electrician, moving about the area late on Thursday night, or in the early hours of Friday morning, either towing the trailer, or without the trailer attached.  Anyone who has any information about this theft is asked to call us at Stranraer on the 101 number, quoting PDG0013830118.  Anyone who wishes to pass information and remain anonymous is asked to call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
