POLICE officers in Dumfries are investigating the theft of tools from a van in the town sometime overnight Sunday/Monday. The tools were stolen from a blue Fiat Doblo van which was parked in Douie Crescent between 6 PM on Sunday and 7:30 AM on Monday morning.
The tools, valued at over £500 include a MAC Tools Hammer, 2x DWALT Batteries, DWALT Impact Driver and a blow torch.
Constable Hannah Wilson said “We are carrying our door to door enquiries at this time and are appealing to anyone who may have been in Douie Crescent either late on Sunday night or early on Monday morning, and saw something suspicious, to get in touch through the 101 number.
We are also urging those who carry tools in their vehicles to think very carefully about where they park and to ensure that vehicles are locked and secured at all times when parked up.”
