POLICE Officers are seeking help in an investigation into an assault near Kettleholm, Lockerbie, in the early hours of Saturday 25 August 2018. Sometime just after midnight, a 41 year old man was assaulted outside his home, by two men, who punched and kicked him, knocking him to the ground. The victim suffered bruising and grazing and is recovering at home.
Constable Lee Barnfather at Lockerbie said “The victim is unable to describe his attackers, other than he thinks they were male, and that one spoke with a Scottish accent. This appears to be a totally unprovoked attack on the victim We are keen to hear from anyone who may have been on the B723 road between Lockerbie and Kettleholm in the early hours of Saturday. We would like to hear about any vehicles which might have been seen in suspicious circumstances, perhaps stopped at the side of the road or even speeding in that area.
