Police are appealing for witnesses after a man attempted to rob a 21 year old woman of her handbag in Glebe Street, Dumfries around 7:45 PM last night (Tuesday 26th March 2019).
A Police Spokesperson stated “The man is described as 5ft 6′, slim to medium build and pale complexion. He spoke with a Scottish accent and had a slim pointy nose. He was wearing a black woollen hat with a bobble, black hoody and dark trousers.
The male may have some new injuries as the victim fought back. The suspect then fled towards Wallace Street.”
Police are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time or has any information which may help identify the man.
