Woman Injured By Dog Whilst Walking In Dumfries

POLICE Officers in Dumfries are appealing for witnesses after a woman was left with hand and leg injuries following a dog attack in the town.

The incident happened around 11:45 AM on Sunday 22nd September on the cycle path between Sandside and Nunholm. As part of our investigation we are keen to identify a woman described as white, elderly, 5ft 6, medium build, grey hair and was wearing glasses and a dark rain coat. She was walking a Brown Border Collie.

The victims dog, a border terrier also sustained bites to its face and neck, however is not believed to be seriously injured.
