POLICE Scotland officers in Castle Douglas are appealing for witnesses to a robbery which took place in Cotton Street in the town last night. Around 10.40pm on Tuesday 30 July 2019 a 25 year old woman was at the ATM machine at the Coop in Cotton Street, when she was confronted by a man demanding money.

He was wearing a grey hooded top with the hood up, black jogging bottoms and well worn white training shoes. Officers are carrying out door to door enquiries and reviewing CCTV in the immediate area. Anyone who wishes to remain anonymous when passing information to us can do so through Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.”
