The Body of a Women has been found on the shore near Annan by a passerby yesterday, saturday the 11th of January 2020.
The body was found by a passerby whilst they were walking on the beach at Cummertrees, Dumfriesshire. HM Coastguard were alerted just before 5pm and members of the Annan Coastguard attended at the scene of the grim discovery.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Police Scotland can confirm that the body of a woman has been found within the Solway Firth near to Cummertrees, Annan, on Saturday January 11.
“The death is being treated as unexplained and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
