Police Scotland is investigating the cause of a fire which was discovered at around 01.30am on Sunday 26 March 2017 within a property in Torduff Road in Gretna. At that time the householder has woken and then discovered a fire inside the front door of the property. The occupant of the address was able to douse the flames and extinguish the fire.
Constable Michael Anderson at Gretna said “We are still trying to establish the cause of this fire however it could clearly have had some serious implications if the fire had took hold. We are appealing to anyone who may seen any suspicious activity in the Torduff Road area around that time to call on 101.”
